Which American state used to be a part of Mexico?
From 1821 to 1836, Texas was a part of Mexico. The United Mexican States’ Federal Constitution of 1824 merged Texas, Coahuila, and Nuevo Leon into one entity. On December 29, 1845, Texas became the 28th state in the United States.
